This level of involvement with your music first became available in my first Three Channel Headphone Amplifier designs, The PPA and later in the HEADCODE TRIAD described by some as the Finest example of the Headphone Amplifier Art available anywhere. The LISA III is my third amplifier design to utilize this innovative TRIAD Topolology. The LISA III was not the result of a committee like The Previous PPA. The LISA III was designed totally and completely by me and me alone thus I am able to have complete control over every design aspect. This type of design takes dedication and most of all Time! We here at TRIAD Audio have been getting many requests for a more flexible edition of our Legendary LISA III Headphone Amplifier. TRIAD AUDIO considers the Desires of all our Customers.
As an Audiophile and music lover I know what you would Desire to have as your Personal Portable Headphone Amplification, because I desired the same thing you folks are requesting and went ahead and made one for my own in several versions.
The L3 is the latest in a long legacy of pocket Amps that Define the Art in compact portable amplification(cpa). The L3 is a warm full sounding Amplifier, combine this with the Holistic 3 Dimensional soundstage and Delineation of detail so precise that you can sense the Air of the Recordings environments.

The Valve Code
Versatility to adapt with your system
The Valve-Code provides two unbalanced 3 Conductor 1/4 inch phone jack headphone output’s as standard. One is via the output transformer and a rotary switch to select taps on the output transformer matching the valve-code to either Low, Medium as well as High impedance headphones. The other provides an OTL Capacitor coupled output directly from the plate of the output tube. This is intended mostly for the enjoyment of high impedance headphones greater than 100 Ohms without fear of any tone coloration cased from the output transformer.
An optional Balanced output is available via two optionally installed XLR type balanced output connectors to accommodate such headphones. In addition to pair of RCA line level unbalanced inputs, an additional pair of RCA outputs provide a loop output so as to preserve your systems line output facilities.
International AC mains voltage selection is user selectable via the rear aprons’ filtered IEC power entry module to allow operation anywhere in the world…
Regulated Valve Power Supply
The quality of the Power supply has more influence with Tube Amplifiers that it will with a Solid State amplifier, because the power supply rejection is a lot better with Solid State than with Tubes so any hum and noise upon the Power Supply’s output will be presented along with the desired Music to the listener and thereby reducing the listening experience. The Valve-Code is such a revealing Amplifier that it would be a shame to mate such a superb topology with a typical Power supply.
The Valve-Code uses an overbuilt power supply starting with a massive 140 watt power transformer rectified by a high current rectifier tube loafing along at a fraction of its rated output for long life and low heat.
Large capacitor banks proving a reservoir of stored energy so much so that the Amp will continue to play for almost 60 seconds after power is turned off.
The Legendary Lisa III
The LISA III was intended to provide reference quality reproduction of audio Information into the Finest Dynamic headphones available and is slim enough to fit into an overcoat pocket or with your PDA.
This Amplifier has effortlessly driven any Quality Dynamic headphone to astonishing loud listening levels with ultra low noise and distortion. Every aspect of technical performance that pertains to sound quality is State of the Art. Frequency response is ruler flat from DC to beyond the Ultrasonic Band. This assures no phase shift throughout the Audio range to completely eliminate time smear caused by Excessive Group Delay. Noise and Distortion are vanishing low and are orders of magnitude below audibility.
Thanks to Dyn-O-Bias III this impressive performance only cost about 22 mA resulting in a typical runtime of about 7 Hours of operation at normal listening levels, With 150 MAh rechargeable 9 Volt batteries or up to 25 Hours on Alkaline and over 50 Hours with Lithium 9 volt Non Rechargeable Batteries.
